Roger Asel founded Certified Financial Strategies in 1990. With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Roger played a key role in shaping the firm's approach to retirement planning, estate planning, and wealth preservation, and continues to lend his institutional knowledge and perspective to the team.

Roger graduated from the Cox School of Business at SMU in 1971 with a major in accounting. He obtained his CPA designation in Texas in 1977 and his CFP designation in 1990, drawing on decades of accounting and financial planning experience over the course of his career before retiring both designations in 2026.

Roger has served on various Boards of Directors, both business and charitable. Aside from his professional endeavors, he is an avid snow skier and enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and two grandchildren.
